Melati restaurant is an old-school Soho institution that has been serving Londoners since 1979. Located on Peter Street just off of Wardour, Melati is close to Piccadilly Circus, Oxford Street and theatre-land, making it a great West End spot for pre-theatre meals, informal working lunches and group dining. Loved by locals for its authentic dishes, affordable prices and relaxed atmosphere, Melati is decorated with south-east Asian artefacts, wall hangings and comfy wooden seating, and the menu offers everything from noodles, rice and veggie dishes. Don't miss the Sup Santan – a spicy chicken and coconut soup, and the Char Kway Teow Istimewa - noodles with fish cakes, chicken and prawns with egg, satay and beef rendang.

Nice environment ! Food great
Not the sort of place many would try when judging by the look of the place from the street but worth a try if the food and service is more important to you than the decor! Service was very good and the food was really good in terms of quality and quantity.
Nice food but the restaruant is a little tacky and not too impressive.

Melati in peter street - good service and tasty food. The restaurant is a little dated but that does not detract from the experience, and the prices are very reasonable
