Bellevue Rendez-vous
About Bellevue Rendez-vous
Bellevue Rendezvous restaurant on London’s Wandsworth Common is a Gallic gem. Owned and managed by a French couple who definitely know their onions, it serves unpretentious but top-notch French cuisine to a happy band of locals in the know. The décor at Bellevue Rendezvous restaurant is light, modern and bright, with pale, wood-panelled walls and charming French country details. As you look out over the cricket green you imagine you could almost be in a village. All the favourites of French classic cooking are here. Start with a plate of spanking fresh oysters or the smoked duck breast and baby spinach salad, then go for a meltingly tender bavette steak with shallots and sautéed potatoes. Prices are astonishingly reasonable, so there’s no reason to deny yourself the chocolate fondant for dessert. And the devotion of the regulars – and the comfortable al fresco tables – makes for an always-humming atmosphere at Bellevue Rendezvous.

Excellent restaurant, delightfully French with very friendly service. My seared tuna and scallops were delicious.
We went to Bellevue Rendezvous in Wandsworth on a Saturday night. The foie gras starter was amazing but the rest of the food we ordered (seared tuna starter, scallops and calves liver main) was good but nothing special. The cheeseboard was fantastic but it would have been nice to have been told about the cheeses we picked.
First time here, and we would come back! It is a small restaurant, almost like being on a wood-panelled canal boat - quite a nice cosy atmosphere. Good food, nice wine, pleasant service ... a good neighbourhood restaurant!
Not sure French is my favourite cuisine but the ambience and decor/surroundings at Bellevue Rendezvous (Wandsworth Common) make for a pleasant change from the usual in town restaurant set up. 'Conservatory' style makes this a great visit in the summer months with plenty of natural light. Service was prompt and attentive. My wife enthused more about the food than I did but thats just a preference thing I think. Popular with families earlier in the evening so expect children. Would recommend.
We went for dinner on May 5 and there were four of us. The menu was limited but the food was good. People were friendly and not overly enthusiastic. We would definitely go back and try other dishes.
