Zizzi - Swiss Cottage

About Zizzi - Swiss Cottage

Italian restaurant chain Zizzi opened the doors of its very first branch in London's Chiswick in 1999. Now there are over 100 branches, all decorated in an appealing contemporary style. Wood-fired ovens, open kitchens and modern interior design with locally influenced art features make for a vibrant atmosphere. As for the food, they serve up a variety of traditional Italian dishes including all the usual suspects: salads, antipasti, pasta, pizza, calzone, risotto as well as fish and meat mains and desserts. What Zizzi really pride themselves on is sourcing good quality ingredients; salads are dressed with white balsamic vinegar from Modena, for example, and offer Goddess Olives, a variety known for their firm flesh and nutty flavour. The modestly priced wine list is dominated by Italian wines, starting at £13.45 for a Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. Located in London's Finchley Road O2 Centre, this branch of Zizzi is ideal for sustenance for shoppers and cinema goers.

This branch of Zizzis is nicely located within the O2 centre by Finchley Road. I would say the food was average but not as good as some brnches i've been to. The batter on the calamari was too soggy but the squid itself was cooked very well and the ravioli pasta was completely overdone and the filling wasn't very generous. Service was good but not exceptional. Overall, quite average.

Zizzi, Swiss Cottage: a quick bite before a meeting - one pizza (Rustica Piccante), one calzone (Carne Piccante) - we both like it hot! Food was fine, and 25% off with their code. Unfortunately, paying the bill took longer than expected, and we ended up chasing our waitress on the way out.
