Tiger Restaurant
About Tiger Restaurant
If you're seeking something out of the ordinary, Streatham High Road's Tiger Restaurant is a must. A unique proposition, even in a city as diverse as London, Tiger offers typical Vietnamese food in a sleek, modern setting and with a surprising jazz soundtrack. It's a bright, spacious spot with two levels - below the glass fronted ground floor and above a cosy mezzanine with a view to the diners beneath - both staffed by friendly, well turned out staff. Designer lighting and unfussy furnishings combined with traditional Asian artefacts for an eclectic, expensive feel which somewhat belies the affordability of Tiger's menu. The kitchen is in the hands of well practised master chefs who know Vietnamese cuisine like the back of their rather skilled hands, resulting in an impressive array of dishes from throughout the varied culinary regions of the country. Additionally, Tiger offers an excellent selection of wines, among them offerings direct from Vietnam, though BYO is acceptable too.

A lovely simple restaurant with good food at a great price. Tucked away in Streatham, with a constant trade. Lovely staff, very helpful and happy to answer questions. I will definitely go again.
Tiger Restaurant, Streatham High Road, was a nice restaurant for an informal meal on a Saturday night. Service was a bit slow as we waited for quite a while for our starters to be served and when they came they were served on cold plates. I wouldn't go there for a special occasion but it offered very good value for money as the food was very good with large portions. The starters for one were easily enough to be shared.
Lovely restaurant. Big portions, fresh juices carrot, orange, apple and good food. Will go back
We were v.excited about trying Tiger after all the reviews that rated the food quite high but after visiting them on a tues night we have mixed views. The star was the BBQ pork belly which was tender and delicious and I'd have again. The traditional Vietnamese noodle in soup along with a seafood one were both quite bland, though they came with a plate of beansprouts, coriander & green chilli which helped spice it up.The beef stir fry (number15) was also very tasteless. Summer rolls ok.
Tiger is more take away or lunch place possibly, which is a shame as food is really good. I was pleased with variety of meals and how tasty they were. However service is pretty disappointing and seems to cater more for take away client. Food came nearly faster than the drinks, which we had to remind barman/waiter to serve. Possibly will go away if in area looking for fast tasty meal at great value, but wouldn't be talking about Tiger to my friends.
