Good central London choice
Stayed here for one night for my wife's birthday (even though we live in London, I thought it would be fun to stay in a hotel not far from home). As I've lived in London for 12 years I knew the location was good -- just off Oxford Street for shopping, a short walk to dozens of good restaurants, and 2 minutes from Marble Arch tube.
Check-in was friendly and efficient. The room (an executive room -- 118) was spotlessly clean, with a very comfortable bed, great bathroom and a good view over the street. Breakfast was tasty and efficiently served.
A couple of things were missing from the room - an alarm clock and minibar would have been nice - but for a 3* hotel I was extremely impressed by the facilities. The room was on the small side and a bit noisy at night -- but this is central London so that should be expected.
Only slight gripe is the queue for checkout in the morning - an express check out for prepaid guests would be good - but once I got to the front of the queue the service was friendly and efficient.
I think it would be hard to beat this hotel in the West End without paying significantly more.
basic but clean
We got a good rate for the hotel and stayed one night in October. The lobby and breakfast area have recently been decorated so are finished to a good standard. The rest of the hotel now looks tired and dated compared to this but the rooms are a decent size and spotlessly clean. Very good breakfast and good location near the tube. Overall a good stay, will eb evern better once the whole hotel has been modernised.
The worst hotel i've stayed in!
We returned from the moyston last night.
I had looked at lots of hotels before we went i chose this one because of the location.
We stayed for 2 nights
I must say that was the only good thing about the place.
When we arived, our room (206) was large but terrably decorated, but i could deal with that
But on the 2nd night my bed broke so we went to reception and told them he gave us another room key. but we was offerd no help moving our luggage.
We was moved to room 326 it seemed but when we woke up in the morning me and my mother felt very ill we went and told reception and they said the main office would contact us they havent yet, but when we returned to the room we felt dizzy again. I am still feeling ill now.
Great location for shopaholics!
Stayed here a night in Aug 2009. Check-in process was swift. The room was clean, bed was comfy and the staff were helpful. My only reservation was the fact that the guy at the reception asked me if I wanted a newspaper the next morning but even when I had said yes, I didn't receive it the next morning.
The location was perfect. Close to Marble Arch station and a stone's throw from Primark.
EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!
My wife and i stayed at the hotel for four nights and were very pleased with the room and service was excellent with full english breakfast served to you at your table and for those who are hungry you can also top up with as much continental as you wish ,with very courtious staff.Linen changed every day better than most 4 star hotels that i have used.We were also impressed by the cleanliness of the room and quality of the bathroom and fittings.
