not worth it
Booked on a special rate after its refurbishment. It was OK, but just didn't feel like 5* or "luxury". Were supposedly upgraded into a mid-level room. It was itself roomy enough, but then the desk was place so that only a contortionist could get into the chair. The bed was lumpy. The swimming pool is in a kind of dungeon, and the fitness equipment marginally satisfactory. Probably Club Floor, if your company is paying, is fine but not recommended unless you get a really good rate. Nothing horrible, but nothing special. Good location, of course.
Exceptional
Wonderful hotel, it's now become my favourite in London! Impeccable service. Fabulous room (on the club floor) I cannot fault anything about it. We can't wait to return.
Couldn't have been better
Recently stayed for a 3 night shopping/cultural trip to London and chose The Langham for comfort and location. We were not disappointed on either count. Impeccable hotel, with attentive but unobtrusive staff and within strolling distance of Regent St., Oxford St. Soho and the theatres.
Time did not allow us to take advantage of all of the hotel facilities but they all appeared to be first class. We did off course have time to avail ourselves of the best hotel bed ever. Like sleeping in a big white fluffy cloud, and surprisingly quiet for a 300 plus room hotel in the capital. Top class.
Our favourite London hotel
We love the Langham. Having a young family we don't get much chance to have a break on our own, so when we do it has to be special. The hotel is pure luxury and quality. It's certainly one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at and attention to detail is outstanding. Enjoy.
Well done
We had not stayed at the Langham for a few years so thought that we would give it another try. What a wonderful surprise. The place has been totally refurbished and was immaculate. The staff were both friendly and very efficient. The eight foot bed was heavenly and the room was lovely and quiet.
Breakfast service in our room was first class, but I would have liked to have had more choice - no compote or fresh fruit. It was also a tad too expensive.
Overall - it doesn't quite have the wow factor, but it is a very comfortable and sylish hotel with super staff - hard to fault.
