This little gem is situatd in the kensington/Chelsea Borough and has only 19 rooms. They are all differently styled but in a most chique and elegant way. The staff was very friendly. This hotel won the bet B&B 2008/2009 award and rightfully so. Many of the room interiors can be seen on the virtual tour on the hotel's website. The King's road is at 1 minute away with lots of café's and restaurants.Even the sloane square tube station is abt 2 min away. An ideal spot where we shall certainly return.

I spent one night on business at the San Domenico House. The location is great - close to the tube but in a quiet side street ( I was able to sleep with an open window without too much noise!). The hotel is very personal with lots of antiques and it feels more like a privat guesthouse than a hotel. Service, though, was impeccable - extremely friendly staff. Since the hotel is owned by an Italian family, most of the staff has an Italian background, which is quite funny in London, but definitely charming. The room I stayed in was very large for London standards, individually and luxuriously furnished (loved the Louis Vuitton vintage suitcases) and very clean. It even had a nice roof terrace which I can imagine to be really nice in the summer. Breakfast in the morning was served either in the room (mine had a nice seating area) or in the breakfast room in the basement, which I thought at first to be strange but turned out to be quite cozy. And they serve good coffee!! Even if I try hard, I can't find any downturns.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over a period of years and have recommended it to friends and have only gotten raving reviews about the location. What is so pleasing is that one only has to walk across the street from the Underground station to the Hotel. I find that the price is great for the calibre hotel. As a travel agent, I will always recommend this hotel as it is so close to everything.
