A bit late of a review, but nonetheless felt I should comment on our experience. It was very easy to find. We used this hotel as a stop ove on our way to Asia. When we arrived it was naturally busy on Christmas eve. The room was nice enough, but you felt it was smokey and ocasionally we found some hairs lying around. It was like a basic hold similar to a travel lodge I suppose. You couldn,t fault the staff, they were friendly enough checking in and checking out. We did not opt for dinner nor breakfast, as we chose to go to McDonalds instead, however the restaurant looked nice enough. Not sure how it would all fare nowadays.

We stayed one night at the Skyline before an early morning flight from Heathrow.

We arrived into Heathrow that evening, and had to get the bus to the hotel. It cost £4 each (single) and took forever, between waiting on the bus and then actually driving around the airport perimeter to the hotel. The alternative was a £12-15 taxi ride. I was slightly irritated that none of the airport hotels seem to offer a direct bus service (paid for or free), but for the rate we paid it was probably ok (£40 GBP for the night, room only).

Check-in was uneventful, though it was quite busy at the desk when we arrived. We were taken at the priority desk because the other agents were with customers.

There only are two or three floors, and our room was on the second floor. It was quiet, clean and reasonably well decorated (see photos). The amenities in the room were more than adequate for a quick overnight stay, and a nice touch was the paper takeaway cup for coffee, as well as the usual china cups. There was only one takeaway cup though, in a room for two people. There was an exorbitant mini-bar but no other fridge space for your own items. Our room looked into the central courtyard, but we weren't disturbed by any noise and the curtains take care of any privacy issues.

We had a comfortable night and checked out early the next morning to go back to the airport. The desk staff called us a taxi. There is a Starbucks in the lobby, but it wasn't open when we left (about 6am).

We really only used this hotel for sleeping in, and didn't pay much attention to any other features. It would be fine for a repeat overnight stay at Heathrow, though I suspect it's a bit out of the way for anything else, and the transport links to the airport are relatively limited. It was a good hotel for the price we paid, and I'd probably recommend it.

We stayed overnight for an early morning flight.

We got a great rate of £78 for room with breakfast. We arrived late afternoon at hotel.

checkin was quick any easy. Had a room on the first floor.

The rooms have been recently renovated and are nicely decorated with huge philips lcd tv and a very comfortable bed one downside however is that there was no bottles of water in the room which is standard in almost every hotel.

So we went to the starbucks in the lobby to buy some water but it was just closed. However the attenddant kindly let us buy some as she had just started to clean up. This was really appreciated. The only other negative point as pointed out by others is that wifi is not in the rooms only in the lobby or lounge for club those who stay in the club rooms and is not free in standard rooms. Yes they do offer 1 hour free access in the lounge which is appreciated but however for a airport hotel free wifi should be standard.

In the evening we had food in the sports bar , which was very tasty, good service and ended up staying to watch the first leg of the ireland france world cup game which was on the big screens in the bar.

Breakfast in the morning was good. We grabbed something to eat. They offer an express check out which was also quick and easy. I recommend you grab one of the many local busses (bus stop across from hotel) which is free to heathrow bus terminal.

Have stayed in the Mariott next door before while the Mariott is more modern the sheraton was on a par for comfortable rooms, beds and service and a great price.

I stayed overnight on a Sunday night for a flight in the morning. Check-in was quick. Room on Club Floor with Queen bed was fabulous for 90 pounds. I was on the airport side of the hotel but the airplane takeoff sounds were very muffled. The bed was ultra comfortable and the perfect end to a long day of travelling. Flat-panel TV with the Q service movies. Large immaculate bathroom. There is a steam pants presser in the closet along with an iron. Minibar was fully stocked but I didn't use it. There's an unusual "power bar" that pulls out of the top of the desk and has multiple types of sockets in it. The wireless in the room requires a fee.

The Club was open for evening snacks from 6-8. The room was jammed full of people but the hot finger food did not run out. The service people kept restocking. Wine is apparently always free in the lounge. Beer and other alcoholic drinks have a fee outside the 6-8 period. The wireless in the lounge is fully open and free.

I arrived at Terminal 5 and the H53 Hoppa Bus is the only one to Sheraton Skyline from there and runs every half hour. It stops at Terminal 4 on the way and then Sheraton Skyline is the last hotel on the route. But, in the morning the Terminal 1,2,3 Hoppa bus runs more often and goes straight to first Terminal 2, then 1, then 3. The cost of the Hoppa is 4 pounds each way. I did not even attempt to find the free city buses that stop out on the street somewhere.

I have stayed at this hotel a few times and have to say that I would class it as my one and only choice of hotel when flying from Heathrow and needing a hotel either before or after a trip. Our recent visit found us exhausted after a trip back from Phuket, Thailand and the staff were nothing less than inviting, friendly and helpful. The beds are the most comfortable we slept in the whole holiday and we decided as an extra holiday treat we would have room service breakfast which was served on time and hot, I am going to New York at the begining of March with my sister and have already booked our first night at this hotel because I know I will be getting a restful, comfortable nights sleep before we fly out early the following day. My sister likes the finer things in life and I had no hesitation in booking this hotel because I know it will meet with her exacting standards. Keep up with the high level of customer service Sheraton Skyline your all doing a great job.
