Had a lovely stay at this hotel before jetting off to Florida with my family! We booked 4 rooms for our family and got all the rooms together.

The best thing about this hotel is that although its a Gatwick hotel it's in its own woodland area which was a nice start to our holiday not overlooking a Airport or major road like most airport hotels.

Gatwick Airport is 6 minutes away which cost us L13 per car by a local taxi firm.

The staff were excellent, rooms were big and spacious with comfy beds and the pub restaurant next door served a nice variety of food. It was also nice to sit outside the pub in the sunshine and have a beer which you can't at most hotels near the airport.

Would recommend this hotel for couples and familys flying from Gatwick.

I stayed at the Premier Inn Pound Hill at the end of July and had a wonderful stay.

My Satellite Navigation wasn't working and got completely lost in the Balcombe area so decided to call the hotel direct to see if they could help.

The reception team were excellent!

So when I finally arrived after driving around lost for a few hours, the last thing I wanted was a lengthy check in you normally get at hotels. They receptionist quickly checked me in and I had a great night sleep.

The rooms are spacious and clean with lovely comfortable duvets and pillows.

Nothing was to much for the reception staff, they gave me extra beverages for my room and an extra pillow and even helped me to my room with my luggage.

I would definitely stay here again when flying in or out of Gatwick.

My family of five (two adults, three teenagers) stayed overnight at the Premier Inn, Pound Hill before flying home via Gatwick.

The facilities were very nice. The rooms were large, clean, and comfortable. The temperature control, water pressure, and quiet were a very welcome change at the end of our trip. The only complaint I had with the facilities was that the street signage was missing on one side, so we passed the hotel the first time. Judging by the quality of the rest of the facility, I expect this was a temporary, and rare occurance. The place really was quite nice.

The staff, however, clearly hated their jobs. The lady who checked us in was quite rude. It was clear we were an inconvenience to her. She made several derogatory comments about our arrangements, travel plans, luggage, and even our appearance. Fortunately, we checked in quickly, if painfully, and she was able to return to her personal calls. We didn't have to speak to her again.

We originally elected not to add breakfast to the room charge, but some of us decided to go down the next morning and pay out-of-pocket. I was quite surprised to have to argue with the single waiter in the restaurant in order to be able to eat at all. Very rude. Again, it was clear I was an inconvenience.

The hotel is very nice, and very convenient. I would recomend it. But I would recomend you avoid the staff as much as possible.

Stayed for 2 nights at the end of school half term. Primary reason for our stay was to visit Lingfield races and Brighton, both of which were easily accesible. Good value at L50 for a family of 4 .

Pub next door perfectly ok, food not too bad and great to have somewhere to pop round to for a drink at the end of the evening. Charge for Wi Fi at hotel really expensive but receptionist kindly told us that if we took our lap top into pub next door they would let us use theirs for free. Only problem we had during our stay was that room not cleaned when we were out during the day and faulty lights not fixed but both were done immediately when we complained. Didn't have any problems with heat and certainly not with noise as double glazing worked properly and hotel supplied us with a fan to keep temperature down.

I stayed here 1 night before going to the airport and was pleasantly surprised. The room was large and spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. It was furnished much better than the travelodge which is its direct competitor and has the advantage of having a pub next door (which serves o.k.ish food).

The receptionist was friendly although I was somewhat surprised to be asked to provide some form of identity as I paid cash. I am not sure what they would have done if I had no driving licence.

My only real concern is that I thought I had already paid by credit card and then had to pay again as they only use the card details to hold the room. In my infinite wisdom, I had inadvertantly left my debit . credit cards at home and it was a blessing I had enough cash with me

There was some noise in the corridor during the night but it didnt last long enough to be a hinderance.

It compares much more favourably than the Travelodge.
