Stayed here a couple of times in the past when weve had an early flight from Heathrow, always managed to get a good price on the rooms £9 or £19 but dont think we would pay full price for a room here.

Always quick and easy to check in, we usually arrive around 10pm and never had a problem with parking which is 1st come 1st serve. also never had a problem finding this travelodge like others have mentioned you just look for the moto service station sign and its right there.

Its about a 15 min journey to heathrow airport

Stayed at Heathrow WEST as a convenient place for myself and my partner for a short trip. We paid £29 per night which was not worth it, if we got it for £19 per night would not moan so much! I knew the surrounding area well and it is still a nightmare for any who do not have their own transport to get to and from here while wanting to visit London and the surrounding areas. Taxis would be a fortune!

To reach it from the M4 there is only one direction - Coming Westbound from London. So if you're coming in on the other side othe motorway towards London, then you have to get off the junction 4 ramp and follow the roundabout round until you're back on the motorway Westbound. And if you want to get back into London, you'll have to take the first junction off again and turn around on a roundabout to get back on the M4 Eastbound to London.

I mention this because I was aware that we would have to do this but after the first couple of days it was just honestly annoying and I wishes I'd booked Heathrow Central instead!

Parking was perfect! Always plenty of spaces and all you had to do was hand in your Reg number for your stay.

The hotel itself was ok, we weren't expecting much from it and were pleasantly surprised by the friendly reception staff and nice room size. I checked the sheets and surfaces and everything was clean. Bathroom was spotless except for loads of hair in the plug hole! (Yuck!)

All was going well until after our first day out, we came back to find that OUR DOOR WAS OPEN!! We had left the sleeping tag on the door as we didn't mind getting the room cleaned every other day (for the environment and all!) Only to find that the tag was ignored and they couldn't even be bothered to shut the door properly after they'd been there! (Nothing was taken thankfully!)

I went to the reception and complained, the guy was shocked (couldn't tell if it was fake or not) but i requested to just leave the room alone for the rest of the stay (another 3 nights) I requested extra towels and a blanket and he was happy to provide. No one came again and we had no further problems.

We wouldn't stay here agin, we've stayed at better Travelodge's and this isn't one of them! Would def try Heathrow Central next!

Tried for an hour to get out there, and couldn't - ended up staying elsewhere

This Travelodge is misleading in saying that it is "near Heathrow" - it is on the M4, and prior to arriving in the UK, their website stated that you could take the Hotel Hoppa for 4 pounds to get to the hotel. When we arrived at Heathrow (we were staying nearby, as we would need to fly out again the next day), it took us awhile to get the answer that the Hotel Hoppa no longer goes to this Travelodge (and perhaps never did). We then tried to take a taxi, but the taxi drivers all warned us that it would be a very long and expensive trip (50 pounds - one way!!), and suggested we find another way to get there. We called the hotel, who told us how to get there by bus - a convoluted set of directions that included walking for approximately 5 minutes in an area that we were later told was not a good area. When we tried to get on the bus, the bus driver said that such a stop did not exist (not sure whose fault this was, the bus driver or the hotel's). The hotel said that they could suggest a minicab, but for anyone outside of England, this is always a dubious prospect. We ended up taking the Hotel Hoppa to the Travelodge very close to Heathrow, and we stayed there for the night (it was very clean and minimal, but sufficient for our purposes, although they did initially tell us that they were completely booked up - not sure why).

All in all, if you are looking for a nearby, convenient hotel to crash for a night near Heathrow, this is not a good hotel.
