Location is very handy for flights from Stansted - about 10 minutes drive (7 miles).

We had a family room for 2 adults and 2 children. The bed was not made up for the children when we arrived, and the room was literally freezing. We went to the cafe whilst it warmed up.

The double bed was appalling with terrible roll-together. As it happened I ended up sleeping on the sofa bed and that was actually better than expected, and I had a reasonably comfy night.

The food in the cafe was OK. Pretty basic again but tasted nice enough. We got up too early for breakfast.

You have to pay a fairly substantial L3.75 (I think) for parking which seems unnecessary. I appreciate this is to stop people long-stay parking for free for the aiport, but I am sure one night's parking ticket could be included in the room rate. (although...shhhh...we arrived late, left early, and didn't pay for parking and didn't suffer for it!).

I have given it 4/5 as it was just so damn cheap! I wouldn't stay here if I wasn't flying from Stansted though.

If you have a car that is, otherwise it's a long taxi ride.

Newer property, but miles from anywhere even the town itself. Some road noise from the adjacent freeway - the trucks seem to all get started around 4am. The view from the other (non-freeway) side is awful - looks like a car wrecker's yard with other kinds of junk too. Having to pay for parking way out in the boonies seems a bit off to me, but I think they do park-n-fly deals so maybe that's why.

Room fine, and I did use the cafe as I didn't feel like driving miles to find something else. Usual stodgy microwaved stuff, but I expected nothing more.

If you're driving to Stansted Airport next morning or on a general road trip, this lodge is acceptable for a night.

Stayed here for one night - room was clean and of a good size with a comfortable bed. I would guess this Travelodge is relatively new property. We had also pre-booked a 2 course meal on line at time of booking, and the food was good and served promptly and service was excellent.

We did not have breakfast as we left very early.... it is a great location for Stansted airport - door to door about 8 minutes!!

There was some road noise, but nothing that kept us awake, especially after a few drinks at the bar!!

We stayed here in a family room the night before we flew out of Stansted. The hotel looks to be almost brand new and our room was very clean, good temperature, quiet and all you would need for a night's stay. The hotel has a bar/cafe although as we arrived quite late and left fairly early, we didn't eat there. It looked very clean and tidy. We had to pay for parking which seems to be becoming standard unfortunately. It was L3 overnight. The room charge of L29 for 4 is a real bargain though. It took us perhaps 8 minutes to drive to the airport. Would definitely stay here again.
