Reminded me of the way things used to be
My stay at the Edwardian Radisson was a trip back to the past where the staff truly enjoyed their jobs (it showed!), they were delighted to have you their as their guest, the rooms were well furnished (comfort and electronically), they don't charge for wireless (!), and they could help you with your needs. All the staff with whom I interacted took extra steps to make sure that my stay was pleasant. If in the Heathrow area again, I will not hesitate to stay here. It is truly an enjoyable experience!
Reliable and great value - the 4* place to stay at LHR
I frequently stay at LHR and have tried many of the hotels over the years - the Radisson is the one I always come back to. it represents excellent value, and the quality of the rooms, food and service stands up well even compared to the the far more expensive 5* Sofitel at terminal 5. Higly recommended. Oh, and the parking is very reasonably priced versus local rivals.
Great room, cheap price, free bus service !
I stayed one night last week at the Radisson Edwardian. Overnighting to catch next day flight to Australia. I got a great price on Last Minute.com (50 pounds a night, no breakfast). Room was smallish but beautifully appointed and very very clean ! No aircraft noise at all in room. Amazing as the hotel is a 5 minute bus ride from Terminals 1 and 3. Travellers note: Get the FREE (yes - that is FREE !) local bus from Heathrow Central bus station (105 service, but 285 is better as lo-rider bus and good for suitcase on/off). See: (--) . The bus driver was so helpful and shouted out to me when we were at the bus stop (100 m west) next to the Radisson. Next morning - I got the 105 service (across road from hotel bus stop), again free, back to Heathrow. Dinner ? At MacDonalds next door to the Radisson, of course ! Delicious Chicken wrap with hot potatoe wedges - - 6 pounds ! Yum ! I will definitely be back for the "free bus, good food, great hotel" Combo !
Only limited service for business travellers
I am very dissatisfied with the service provided by this hotel. It was not possible to check out before having breakfast. I also asked to include the breakfast rate in the accomodation rate. This was also denied. My collegues and I had therefore a lot of problems in getting the invoice trough our companies expense system. We complained twice and asked for the Hotels support. This was denied - even we escalated it to the hotel manager.
In the end, I send a complaint letter with the wish to split my invoice - the hotel did not even answer that. I never had such a bad service in a hotel before.
Excellent accomodation if flying via Heathrow
We'd boked 1 night + 12 days parking. No problems except the car park ticket didn't work first time in the barrier on return after our 12-day holiday abroad via Heathrow. Had to get it reset at reception then got out of car park OK. at 3am Room was very modern, well furnished and clean (Reception girl said it was refurbished 6 months ago after I mentioned Tripadvisor reviews) and in our room you could in fact open the (locked) window and see the planes on the north runway only about 400 metres away (but not under their flightpath). We needed the first morning shuttle bus (H3) to Terminal 3 and it arrived on time at 04.20 and arrived at the terminal about 15 mins later via 2 other hotels . Didn't use their food - we got a McDonalds take away instead from the branch next door to the hotel. Good value for £137 for 1 night + 12 days parking..
