I paid 29 pounds per night and asked for a room at the back to avoid the noise at the front. This Travelodge was clean/modern (but then it is new) and located just outside Euston Station. Yes it is functional but for 29 pounds per night great value. I would advise you only stay if you get a cheap room though.

we didn't, we were charged £85.00 for each of the two nights which we had booked previously on the internet. The first room we were given had a screen outside the window, blocking out any view, so we asked to move. The next room we were given we were told would be noisy, but there was nothing else available. We paid an extra £10 to check in early and then had to carry our cases up the third flight of stairs as the lift was broken. The room was small and austere, stripped of all but the essentials, the mattress was thin, pillows thin and compressed. It was certainly not value for money. By 10.00pm we had had enough and walked down to the Novatel where we got a great deal with breakfast included for the two nights. Would I book again - even at £19.00 I think I would hesitate. Must just mention the staff, the receptionist who dealt with our departure was very helpful and understanding and was very aware of the shortcomings.

Amazing Location - Fantastic Service

Me, my partner and our 6 year old son stayed in London Euston Travelodge for 3 nights from Friday to Monday. Room was clean and spacious for the price we paid (£95+£19+£19= £133 - for all 3 nights) on the third floor facing back of the house. Room was medium size with king-size bed and sofa bed. Sofa bed actually had a pull out, so if needed 4 people could sleep easy in one room, they say 2 adults and 2 kids, but sofa cold accommodate adults as well if needed. The hotel is situated right next to the Euston station, easy access to trains, tube and buses and it is easy walk to Kings Cross and if you don't mind 10-15 walk you could walk to soho or Oxford street. Bed was comfortable. Only thing I would mark down is that only continental breakfast was available, but there are plenty options in near station. Staff was very friendly toward us and between them pleasure to deal with them, I would employ them myself. They gave us a room on the back of the house after we asked politely for a quite room.

Stayed for 4 nights with husband & sons 12 & 14, visiting from Adelaide, Australia. 6 week. UK & Spain. Location brilliant for train travel, 20min walk to madame t's where you catch the "Original Bus Company Tour Bus" (70 pound 4 the four of us for 48 hrs travel during winter), nice Irish pub just a few minutes walk around the corner. Few minutes walk to Kings Cross Tube Station, which is your best option if you are travelling on the Piccadilly line to Heathrow Airport - direct trip to Heathrow terminals 1, 2 & 3. Would recommend not using the Euston Train Station on the Victoria line, as you need to change trains along the journey to the Piccadilly line ----- and there are no lifts to carry your luggage for you up to the top platform..... very tiresome if you are carrying 4 full to capacity suitcases & hand luggage.... as we were.

Euston Train Station is a quick stop for breakfast in the food hall, along with M & S food hall.... very handy for snacks, water etc.

Travelodge. Immaculately clean, appeared all to be as advertised, however if booking a family room, beware, I thought the bed to sleep my boys was a pull out sofa bed, however, as seen in the picture on the website, what appears to be the sofa bed in fact only converts by removing the bolster on top of the bed, making one single bed, and then pulling out a very thin trundle from underneath, which in our case room 102 was torn, and was not sufficient to be supportive to our sons back. On going to reception, as there are no telephones nor refridgerators in the rooms, they offered us the only fold out single bed they had. Thank God for that, as our youngest slept on the sofa bed and the other on the fold out bed. Had this not been possible, we would have been extremely dissapointed, and unsure what we would have done. Room 102 is stituated on the corner, facing the Euston Station, which looks great as there is a park on the other corner to view from the window, however, it is extremely noisy as there is a fire station around the corner, and an A & E Hospital just around the other, in addition to pedestrians crossing at the crossing directly under your window as it is on the 1st floor.

We would probably not stay in this Travelodge again, should we travel to London again while having teenage children, due to the bed situation, and the fact we slept very little 2 of the 4 nights due to the noise..... may not bother you, if you are accustomed to lots of traffic noise. The staff we found to be helpful, as on two occassions I had to ask for extra towels and toilet roll. In relation to the question below, yes I would reccomend the hotel to a friend, however, I would not suggest it to those who have children. Having said all the above, we did have an enjoyable stay, and albeit at times tired due to lack of sleep, you do as you do as travellers and keep on sightseeing until you drop :-)

Was wary about this Hotel as had read reviews about it being dirty and noisy. We stayed one night on New Years Day (obviously a busy time) - and could not fault it at all.

Our room was in the Lower Ground level and right next to the roadside, but we did not hear the traffic at all. The room and the hotel was all clean and modern-looking.

Yes the pillows on the bed are extremely thin, but a quick trip to reception to ask for more is all that it takes.... we also had no plugs for the bath/sink, but again reception found us one and brought it to our room within 10 minutes.

Handy hotel for Euston station, which also has many restaurants and quick bite places to eat in.

Absolutely no problem, would recommend this hotel again and will book again.
