Good value and good location!!!!
Two 22 yr olds and one 19 yr old stayed ere for the October bank holiday for 2 nights. Very good value for money...only 50pound each for two nights. rooms are small but your on holidays and in London your defo not going to be in your hotel that long as there is so much to do!!! breakfast is lovely....nice fry, muffins, orange juice, fruit, yogurts, tea coffee, toast, croissants and is served up until 9 o clock!!! location is brill..your literally across the road from kings cross station which gets you to anywhere really in London!!
Good Location - Good Value for Money
We searched the internet for accommodation which was cheap as we did not want to spend any time in the accommodation apart from sleep, showering and eating our breakfast.
We rang The Apollo and made a reservation we where informed that they only had a standard room (room without a bathroom) which was okay. Would have preferred en-suite but for the price of £64 for the room it was a fantastic price. We arrived at the accommodation which was easy to find and its within walking distance of London Euston.
Arrived at reception and greeted by a cheerful receptionist who gave us our key to our room and told us where it located on the first floor. Opened the door to the room and it was pleasant had everything we needed and we where not disappointed at all. Room was lovely and clean with fresh linen on beds and lovely clean towels. Room had a tv in which was handy if you fancied watching telly late at night. Bathroom was basically half way up the first flight of stairs and our room was round corner. Had loads of hot water for a bath or shower and it wasnt a pain having to take our shower stuff to the bathroom.
Breakfast was served downstairs in the basement which was a breakfast room, it was cereal followed by an english breakfast with toast and coffee or tea.
Stayed for two nights and would definetly stay again but next time get en-suite.
Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who only need somewhere to sleep and eat.
B&B for short stay
We spent 4 nights at the Apollo Hotel and eventhough I had read previous comments on it (i.e small rooms, clean, good location, etc), we found the rooms smaller than we thought. It was a double room en=suite. Room was clean, so was the bathroom but the size of the whole place was really small. I would recommend the place if you are planning to spend most of the days outside, "a just to sleep kind of place". Breakfast was good and wide range of pastries to choose from.
Fantastic hotel, clean, not expensive, friendly staff
When I was reading the reviews of Hotel Apollo, I said to myself:"Omg, what kind of hotel did I book, it´s going to be awfull" but......
We stayed in double en-suite with our own bathroom. Our room was freshly painted, new bathroom, very, very clean. Small, but very cozy.
At 10 pm , when we went sleeping, was silence everywere (in a hotel and outside).
Great.
Good location and price, Not clean
For it's location in Central London, the price is very good. However, room we had was not the best, as it had a very strong smell of cats wee in the room. Not the nicest smell to sleep with... Breakfast in the morning smelt good, but didn't fancy risking it, so passed. And then the smell of cats wee came back and overpowered the room.
Also the bathroom is very small, and needs some desperate cleaning.. see pic of the shower head... I declined to have a shower and rather wait until i got home!!!!!
if you want someone cheap and cheerful and with a good location then this fine, otherwise look elsewhere if you fancy a bit more comfort and bigger, cleaner rooms.
Also ALL card payments are charged 3%... even debit cards..
