We spent 3 nights in London after a week in Scotland and we didn't expect to find same kind of B&B, but we finally were fine with Surtees! Location is great: 5 minutes walk from Victoria coatch station and 10 minutes from Victoria train station and subway. Place is quite enough, still being just in the city, and price really reasonable. There a lot of restaurants and pubs in the neihbourhood to spend the evening. The room was soooo small, but clean enough. On the other hand you can pay more in other hotels if you need space... Breakfast is basic. Reception is 24 hours open, that's good if you have to leave at night. Definitely a good bargain hotel.

so last march me and my boyfriend, we are both young in our 20's, so we decided to visit london and stay in the hotel as little as posible (you know with al lthe things to do in london) so we went for a cheap hotel but that is at the same time comfortable and in the centre of the hype. we booked through the internet much in advance. however around a month befre our trip we had a little prob and had to move the dates of the trip by one week. i send an email to the hotel and kindly they changed everything, tey send me a confermation mail and all was settled. however the night before we were suppsoed to leave around 600 euros were deducted from my bank account, as eveyone can image i was shocked. the problem was that the person who has send me the confermation email did not inform the manegment about our change in dates and so they taught that we were not coming. after i called form home and checked all this and showed them the mail that they had send me it was all settled. when we arrived we were nicely welcomed, given our room which was extremely cleen. the only downside about the room was the size of its bathroom, with open hands you can touch both walls of the bathroom. however this shall not bother you if like us you stay at the hotel to sleep and have a bath. the breakfast was not bad, they offered some pre packed cereals, some milk and orange juice, toast and a selection of cheeses. no english breakfast though! they have a very good and nice helper/cleaner. i forgot my wristwatch in the room, which was given to me by my boyfriend, i havent even realised that i had left it behind when we packed, however this kind lady gave it to me and asked if itwas mine as she found it unattended. she saved my day :D

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in June 09. The rooms were basic but clean, and the shower was very small but usable.

The location was great, we were about 5-10min walk to the Train/Bus/Underground station (Victoria) and we were able to walk to many attractions in London (Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, London eye etc). There are also many cafes and two supermarkets within walking distance.

Breakfast was good with a range of Cereals, Toast, muffuins and fruit - the breakfast room is quite small if the hotel is booked out so suggest getting there early for a seat.

Staff were helpful, providing a map on arrival and we booked our London eye tickets through the hotel as well.

Would stay again. Thanks

My fella and I stayed here a single night before departing on an early morning trip from Victoria Station. We then returned four days later for a three night stay to explore London. Considering the location and the price we were very impressed with the service, cleanliness, breakfast and room. We will certainly book here again.
