I needed somewhere to stay between flights and this seemed a reasonable option given the price.

The information given on booking with regards to transport to the B & B is a little vague and optimistic with its timing. It takes around 45 minutes each way and as I was using Terminal 5 on the way out of London more like an hour.

There is no signage just a random sign saying '1 Uxbridge Road' which is very strange. You have to hunt around to find it.

The room is acceptable for a night, had a TV, however Tea & Coffee were in the kitchen downstairs. I echo a previous review in that there was piles of laundry all over the kitchen when I used it and I'm sure that contravenes current legislation.

The bathroom is not ensuite but was clean - there are no toiletries provided.

Breakfast was okay, but not the best I have had. The person cooking didn't really have much to say for himself and I felt a bit like I was a hinderence.

In my opinion this is basically a house which has been hastily made into 'kind of' B & B.

I'm not sure I'd use it again as the whole setup seems a little unusual and for £5 more I could have stayed closer to the airport without the trawl of the bus.

I booked this b & b via email and internet 5 weeks ago (1/3/2009) for a quad room one night for the 25th of June 2009 (3 months out)

I had to change my flights and let the owner know that I would like to cancel the booking , so in essence I gave him (Denis) 3 months notice.. HOWEVER I did sign an agreement which says that I cancel or not turn up hey can charge my card... fair enough my mistake. But hang on three whole months out I would a least thought we could come to a 50% discount or even let me know if he re rents the room taht there are no hard feeling etc etc. But no ... YOU SIGNED the agreement and bad luck...

So now reading the previous reviiews you can add this to your thoughts when booking aswell.

Fair enough I made an error, but a little customer service wouldn't go astray and in fact help this feedback sheet in the positive!!

My father found this pretend bed and breakfast on the net, we were due to our grandads funeral in Hamworth and this seemed to be the closest b&b to the cremetorium, we travelled from Cambridge and had a long time and a difficult time finding this b&b as there is no sign to say what it is.We managed to park our car very tight in the drive way behind the owners or managers car. When we knocked on the door they seemed a liittle apprehensive to who we were as we seemed to be quite smartly dressed for this b&b. We were shown our rooms which was obviously a house that was pretending to be a b&b as the furniture looked like it was brought from a second hand shop or from people who had passed away.Dusting and cleaning was not something that happened regulary!! The bathroom was shared between us and looked like something out of a youth hostel! very unnerving!!! We went out as soon as we got there to have a few drinks and something to eat and returned about 11.30pm and went to bed. Got up at 8.00am as arranged to have breakfast but due to sharing a bathroom one of our party was 10mins later than the rest of us and this was frowned apon quite considerably, we were made to feel like naughty children. We had paid £139.00 for 1 nights stay, for 2 rooms but were made to feel we should of been students travelling, not 4 grown adults attending a funeral, very unfriendly and would never return here again!! very strange and surreal. not what we have ever had before in b&b's. DON'T GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SHOCKING

Although this B and B was clean and we felt safe there (which is very nice when you're in a foreign country), I don't think I'd stay there again. The bed felt a bit like a trampoline. There was no soap in either of the bathrooms except for a wet bar of it in the shower (wasn't sure who had rubbed that nor where). We had to get up very early to make our flight and since it was a Sunday morning, there was no breakfast made for us. We were told about this ahead of time so it wasn't a surprise and we were given permission to make our own breakfast but the supplies were quite lacking. There were about 2 tablespoons of milk available so cereal wasn't an option. There was about one cup worth of orange juice and a couple of pieces of fruit to be split between 5 travelers. All that was available in quantity was some raw bacon and bread. The live in host was nice and the owner was helpful via e-mail prior to our stay, but a comfortable bed carries a lot of weight in my opinion of a B and B.

I chose this hotel because of its proximity to Heathrow. However the taxi driver couldn't find the hotel in spite of my giving him a map to accompany the address. We ended up paying 26 pounds for a journey that should have been about eight. It wasn't helped by the fact that Heathrow House doesn't have a sign outside.

The room was very basic and the house a little run down. The saving grace is the helpful and friendly student who lives on site and who cooks an excellent breakfast.
