You get what you pay for...which is basically a bed and a toilet. It wasn't dirty, but everything was shabby and could have been improved greatly by spending a few hundred pounds. There's no internet, but if you ask management they'll give you someone's router password in exchange for "some money" to be given to the owner of the router, but we never paid. We were also told our room would be ready by 11am, but when we arrived at 1:30 we still had to wait an hour before it was ready, and we did not receive towels until 9:00 that night. It was also pretty far away from the main London attractions, which can be exhausting. If I did it again, even on a budget, I would spend the extra pounds to be closer in to town. That said, they undercharged my credit card by two nights, so I guess I can't complain too much.

My mother and I stayed at Avoca House Hotel in October 2008 for 13 nights. The rate was very reasonable, a twin en suit room at 59 pounds. The room is comfortable and suitable sized. The hotel is conveniently located in residential district at just 10 minutes walk to tube and few stations to Centre of London. The host was a helpful person. He smiled all the time and made us feel so welcome.
