We choose this hotel, because the friends that were with us were on a tight budget and the hotel offered the cheapest option for the New Year's in London, we paid only 250GBP for 5 night for a quad room!Apart from the excellent location (Bayswater, I love it), the hotel was a total dump. When we arrived it took so long to check in as the girl working behind the desk seemed someone just passing there. We had to pay in advance (200GBP).The room space was ok, but there was lots of dust everywhere, also in the bathroom which was really tiny. We were given just 1 roll of toilet paper for 5 days.Luckily we brought some with ourselves (based on past experience with London hotel). After showering water wouldn't go down or it was reaaaaally slow.TV was quite useless as it had just 2 programmes, just checked it for weather and news. We met the cleaning lady just for 1 day and she asked to leave the room open, as she didn't have the key (????hello???), but all she did was basically take away the garbage. Breakfast was really basic, toast bread, sliced cheese and some suspicious salami and some marmalade. At least we could heat up milk and croissants (it was more like do it yourself breakfast), so basically this was the best feature of the hotel, as the breakfast lady was really ok and let us eat as much as we wanted.

The worst point was, on January 1st (after the 4th night there) they wanted to throw us out, because they thought we booked for 4 nights (in fact it was really strange, when they first charged me with 200GBP and not 250GBP as I expected), so I had to go down to the reception and persuade the guy we wanted to be there for another day and paid the 50GBP remaining. When I wanted to pay with the credit card, they didn't want to use the card machine saying it's not working and made me pay in cash.

I really hope they closed this hotel, as it was really badly kept. I would not recommended it to anyone.

I admit the food at the business meeting was good but i would not recommend staying at the hotel if you are tired and need a good rest.

If it is just a one night and you are on a limited budget (eventhough the single night is not cheap at all £72) you might try it.

When we came to the hotel, our room wasn't available because they had given it to someone who had a leak in their room, so we had to sleep in another smaller room the first night.

The smell was there from the second we walked in the door. We had some self-glowing stuff (fungus probably, - you could only see it in the dark) in the ceiling and under my bed was a lot of white mould.

The sheets were clean, but had some old stains on them, -it looked like blood. The floor wasn't clean at all!!! So if you do go there, never take your shoes off!!!

When we left, I asked if they had considered cleaning, and got some lame excuse that she couldn't find the key and had tried to crawl in the window before we came, but with no luck. Hmm, the key to the room they had given away on our first night! It makes no sence. So my advice, stay away!

The hotel is in VERY bad condition. The personel is not serviceminded at all. If you dont mind dirty toilets without toiletseats, bad smell, tiles ripped of the walls, plenty of dust and filth all over. Dont consider to go here. I have never experienced more rude behavior before. A spanish couple wanted another room because of bad smell, it was clear they wouldn't get any help from the staff. When we came to he hotel it was clear that the receptionist knew what I would tell her, she was ready like a boxing fight. Earlier that week I was promissed in an email from travelstay that if i left a day early i should only advise the hotel on arrival that I would be checking out clearly no problems. I had to pay an xtra day the spite I wasn't there.
