BIG THANK YOU.
Just wanted to say a BIG Thank you to Bryan & Kay, Dot & Dave and to all the other campers that helped us on our first camping adventure.
Excellent location for London, so easy with the bus stop right outside and of course the pub/restaurant just a short hop away.
I shall definately be coming back and can definately recommend this site to anyone who wants to explore London.
Thanks once again.

Great for families, great for visiting London
We stayed at this campsite with our 2 children in our caravan for our third time over the August bank holiday and spent 8 days here.. We traveled down from Liverpool and when we arrived we found the staff very friendly and helpfull. Even though it was very busy, the site was well looked after. It has a rural feel about it, you wouldnt think you was in London. It is great for visiting London, The bus comes right onto the site and you can be right in London in an hour. There are plenty of fresh water points and bin areas. Recycling is easy. There are 2 shower / toilet blocks but the one near reception could do with being a bit bigger. Lovely big washing up sinks with plenty of piping hot water. The laundry is clean and bright. The shop is well stocked. athe reception sells 1 day travel cards which are really good. We will definately come again.
Happy family. Liverpool.
APPAULING!
This was the WORST campsite I've been to and I've been camping all my life. We left within hours.
Upon arrival we found it to be overcrowded and has to pitch our tent amongst stinging nettles near the main road.
The couple 'running' the place gave us directions for a 'short walk' where we would find some pubs and restaurants. We ended up walking 5 miles away and ending up on a council estate which was like something from a horror film with froups of kids on bikes with there faces covered.
We were given a cab number and charged £12 to get back.
The couple gave us some take away menus which we called, one of which had neer heard of the place and the 2nd was a mobile number and nobody answered.
We cooked what we had and during this time a tent full of teenagers pitched up in front of us, a family in a camper to our right and then 2 motorhomes 2 our right, 6 ft from us!!
We were in the tiniest space and there should be regulations stoping people from being so close to each other.
We complained and just about managed to get our money back - £30 FOR 2 NIGHTS!
While complaining a man brought his little girl into the office wrapped in a towel because the lights kept going off in the ladies showers and she was made to walk across the feild in the dark to another shower block!
We had to ask reletives to come and collect us and pack up in the dark.
Would NOT recommend this to anyone.
Loved the site
This site is good for motor homes, caravans, trailer tents and tents. Facilities are very clean, showers are secure and to a high standard. The staff were all very helpful and the shop stocks camping accessories and groceries. Best of all was the travelcard which can be purchased from the site shop. The W8 bus stops at the site, goes to Edmonton Green, linking up with the overland train to Liverpool Street Station. Travelcard cost £3 adult/80p child daily for use on buses, trains & tubes. We simply hopped on & off tubes & buses taking in all the sights of London. 5 nights cost a family of four less than £125 for site fees and transport throughout London. The site is surrounded by a golf course and behind a leisure centre. So we saw 2 movies at the local UGC, had a meal at the Pizza restaurant, on the nights we were back early. We got cheap theatre tickets from a booking office in Leicester Square for Arsenic & Old Lace. Went on the Eye(pre-booked on the net). We had a wicked time
