If the price is low, then it's ok, but only then!

We booked our stay the night before we arrived and therefore got a very good price. It was a last minute trip so we said "good location and a three star hotel at low rate, preferably with breakfast included" And that's what we got. Well, I don't know about three star it could also have been a two star. i think it depends on what room you get! We got a pretty nice room when we arrived late and we really wondered what all bad reviews where about. Well, we found out when we got to bed - it was like sleeping on the floor, and when we tried to get the shower on - it was almost impossible to turn it on and once we got it turned on it did'nt get off! So, with a smile on our lips we got to shange to another room with a brand new shower! Beside this little insidence (the bed was fixed with extra plankets under the sheet) we think we could recomend it but only if you don't pay to much! Location is great and the breakfast ok.

I booked to stay at this hotel but had to cancel my stay. I cancelled well within the time set out in the terms and conditions so that I wasn't charged, but the hotel charged me for the first nights stay..trying to get the money back has been a nightmare, no one taking my call, returning my call, refunding my money....Don't stay at this place bad customer service taking money from your account without letting you know...I'm having to go through my bank to reclaim the money...YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED..........

I can not believe how horrible this hotel is. Here is my list: The room was tiny, there was no space to put anything; the wardrobe was too small, I couldn't even fit my bag in it; there was only one bedside table even though it was a double room, there was only one flat pillow each and a sheet with a blanket that kept sliding off the bed; the light bulb was hanging out of the broken ceiling light fitting, which had no cover; the bathroom was so small you had to walk in sideways; there was no soundproofing between the rooms so you could hear people in the next room talking; the floorboards above us and on our level creaked incredibly loudly to the point I kept expecting to find someone in our room; if someone in another room used their bathroom you could hear as the pipes were running through our room; communual doors were left to slam, waking us up; there was no hot water for a shower; we had to shut our window because of people smoking below our window outside; the stairwells were disgustingly dirty; there was part of a banister missing in one of the stair wells; we were disturbed by a cleaner knocking on our door 45mins before checkout time. I managed about 5 hours sleep in this incredibly noisy, dirty, uncomfortable, cramped hotel. Not at all the refreshing break I had planned. I would of had far more sleep staying at home with the children!! Please never ever go to this horrible hotel!

Filthy dirty, extremely poor hotel. The owner is dishonest.

We were travelling in Norway and had booked an 8 night stay (Saturday through the following Sunday nights) in this hotel. Our plans changed to leave London for two nights and I contacted Hotels.com to cancel our stay on Friday and Saturday, returning on Sunday night. We were told that this could be done at the hotel upon our arrival.

The owner informed me that, with five full days notice, the two night cancellation was not a problem and that we could leave one piece of luggage in the hotel lobby during our absence. We departed on Friday, returning the key card for our room. We returned on Sunday and checked out on Monday. Upon checkout the owner went back on his word and refused to refund us for the two nights we had cencelled. He said that we may be able to get a refund through Hotels.com. We had no time to argue because we had to catch a plane at LHR.

I am amazed that this hotel has a three-star rating as the place is unfit for habitation. Check out my pictures and you be the judge. This hotel would surely fail most all requirements of the Canadian Hotel Association Standards in terms of health and safety, services and customer relations. I most strongly discourage people for using this hotel.

The price and location seemed good but it was not worth it. The room was tiny with there not being enough space for 2 people to move around without one going and standing in the toilet. The bed had one flat pillow each a sheet and dirty blanket. The en-suite was also small and you had to walk in sideways past the sink to get in. The walls between the rooms were obviously very thin as you could hear people having a normal conversation in the next room. You can hear people all night, pipes clanking, floorboards squeaking, doors banging. The stairways were disgustingly dirty with months of dust lying around. The one we went down had a broken banister which would have been dangerous for young children. In the morning there was no hot water for a shower and when we mentioned this to reception they seemed very disinterested and suggested we washed in the sink. Not the hotel experience we were really looking for!!!
