Sweet hotel with an "antique" style. We enjoyed our stay there very much. It's close to Baker Street station, so the location is very good if you use the tube to get around London. We got a room in the basement, and it was very spaceious. Hardly any noise from the street. Just beside our room there was a common room with a pc with free internet access. We loved the breakfast room where all the guests were situated around the same table. The only "negative" we have to say about this hotel is the fasade. We asked our taxi driver to drop us off at 22 York Street on our arrival, and there was no sign on the outside at all. So we were wondering if we got the wrong adress. A small sign above the doorbell said "Daybell", so we tried it. Luckily we were warmly welcomed, and it was the right adress after all :)

I stayed here for one night on business. It was recommended to me by a colleague and certainly met my expectations. 22 York Street is full of character and has everything you need for a good stay - whether for pleasure or business. I was really impressed by the friendly staff and all the facilities. For example, it is great to be able to pop down to the lounge and get a good coffee and a biscuit as and when you wish.

I stayed in a single room on the top floor. It was tiny (it would be nice to have had a desk to work from) but was very pleasant, clean and comfortable. The street is quiet and I slept well.

The location is excellent - very close to Baker St tube, so therefore very accessible and there are lots of bars and restaurants in the area. I'll certainly be staying here again.

This is a great location, very central to everything. There are good restaurants on Baker Street, a block from there. Our room was comfortable and spacious enough for us to relax and feel at home. The bed was made with nice soft linens. Every morning we enjoyed a continental breakfast and conversation with them and the other guests. The internet is free with a laptop provided 24 hours a day. There is a room for tea or coffee and cookies in the afternoon, and is available to guests all day and night. They also provided an iron and ironing board. They have satellite TV's in the rooms.

They helped us plan our sightseeing tours, providing us with maps and directions for the tube and buses combined to save us money; things we would not have known. They know where to find comfort items travelers need, such as dry cleaners and laundromats. They could not have been kinder. Both my husband and I felt right at home there and highly recommend it. Should we return to London, we will want to stay there again.

London is one of my favorite cities in the world, but unfortunately - at least for American travelers - it has become so incredibly expensive! A few years ago, I paid almost $200/night for a dive of a hotel near Russell Square that looked fine on Expedia, but had ancient furniture and a pervasive musty scent throughout the entire hotel. With affordable rates, comfortable rooms, and a nice location, 22 York Street is a great find!

First of all, it's in a great location - not directly in the center of things, but only a quick walk from the Tube station, and then only a few stops from the heart of the city. There are plenty of restaurants, cafes, and convenience stores located very close by as well.

Rooms are small, but comfortable. Ironing is in the basement - would have preferred to have it in the room, but knowing that it's a B&B, I thought this was fine.

Continental breakfast is included - you sit at a long table with the other guests, and it just felt very friendly and welcoming. I especially enjoyed the croissants! The owners were very helpful and pleasant as well.

If you're looking for something nice and affordable in one of the world's priciest cities, I'd definitely recommend this place!

Spent 4 nights in a twin room with my daughter, 100 pounds/night includes a nice continental breakfast. We were in the townhouse next door, on the second (first in England) floor, adjacent to the lounge. TV, local phone for minimal cost, great bathtub with lots of hot water, tea and biscuits available in the lounge 24/7. It was clean, quiet, well run. Free internet either wifi or a computer station is in the main house on the lower floor and is available for use at all times. Great location, just a few minutes walk to the Baker Street station. We will definitely stay there again.
