Directly linked to Gatwick Airport's South Terminal via a covered walkway, the 821 bedroom hotel is only 30 minutes from Victoria Station in London using the frequent Gatwick Express, which runs every 15 minutes throughout the day. The London Underground can be accessed from Victoria. The North Terminal is a few minutes away using the easily accessible monorail. The M25 and other motorways can be easily reached from the hotel which has direct access to the M23.

We booked a hotel near the airport then on a friends advice we changed to the Hilton, we are so pleased we took there advice, the location is great for the short stay park & the south terminal, on the online booking service we got offered upgrade at a cost if available we were upgraded to a suite for a reasonable cost c/w club lounge.

The club lounge was great for the early evening so we could work with free wi-fi and snacks with drinks, then in the morning we checked out there no queue followed by light breakfast, we only had drinks from the minibar and food from room service menu for evening meal all were good standard.

The room had great sound proofing as we both slept very well, the room decor was in good order and very clean & tidy, all the staff we came across during our one night stay were very pleasant and professional would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone.

We will use this hotel again if we ever have Gatwick flights in the future.

Great service and a handy location.

We stayed here for one night on 8th November and experienced excellent service from all members of staff we encountered. We emailed the hotel prior to arrival and our requests regarding room type, position, etc had all been noted on our reservation and accommodated wherever possible.

The improvements to the Atrium/Reception area had just been finished when we arrived and the whole area is much improved and provides a luxurious first impression.

Our room was clean and modern and the bathroom was spacious with a separate shower cubicle. The bed was large and very comfortable and we heard no noise during the night from other residents or aircraft.

As other reviews have mentioned, the location of the hotel for overnight stays when flying in to/out of Gatwick is excellent - being only a three or four minute walk from the South Terminal, all undercover. Prices for food and drink are fairly expensive, as perhaps you would expect from one of the Hilton Group or for an airport based hotel. But the quality and service is worth paying the extra for in my opinion and there is always the option to walk to the Airport Terminal if you would prefer to eat and drink away from the hotel.

Overall, we had a relaxing and enjoyable stay at this hotel which was a great way to start our holiday, before flying off to the sunshine the following morning!

Stayed for one night before our flight and was very pleased with the choice. We booked through an internet agent as a mystery 4-star hotel option and only found out it was the Hilton after booking so we took a chance, but it was worth it. Check-in was speedy and pleasant, and the room was lovely. It has clearly been modernised recently and the results make it very pleasant to stay at. The room looked out over the atrium, which initially concerned me, but there was no noise at all. Whatever windows are used are brilliant as muffling any noise, so we had a great night's sleep. We didn't eat at the hotel, but did use the bar in the atrium and whilst it was reasonably pricey, it was no more so than hotels of it's type anywhere else. I would definitely recommend it.

second night was a problem on check in as the room we had booked and paid for was oversold - we were offered an alternative which was acceptable to us ( but might not have been to others) we were kept waiting with our children in the middle of the night, whilst this was sorted by an unsmiling and unapologetic receptionist. However, when I later took this up with the management, it was sorted out promptly, courteously and to my satisfaction. I would stay again because of convenience, cleanliness etc
