I’ve stayed at the Holiday Inn Ariel many times and I’ve never been disappointed once. It can be very convenient if you’re in transit from the airport to hotel. You can access the hotel from any terminal by taking the HOPPA bus for 4 £ per person. However, when leaving for the airport, estimate an hour because the buses come about every 30 minutes and the bus also stops at other hotels and terminals.

Check-in is usually fast and the staffs in all departments are very friendly.

Rooms are rather basic and a bit outdated. The size of the room also varies. I’ve had a double bed in big rooms and other times in a smaller room for the same price.

Bathrooms are a bit on the small side, but very clean.

All the rooms have internet access, but you have to pay. They also have a small business center next to check-in area where there is a printer.

I’ve never been to the restaurant for any of the meals, but their room service is very good. I stayed for 2 nights and ordered room service both nights. I asked them to substitute my side dishes for green vegetables and I had copious amounts of fresh steamed veggies. Also, their price is reasonable for a hotel.

I’ve never been able to find out how this hotel can maintain itself at an average of 65£ a night. It’s such a good deal. I’ve stayed at the Marriott, Sheraton, and Radisson all in the same area, but their prices are 2 to 3 times higher. You won’t get all the amenities like 3 different restaurants or Starbucks, but I don’t mind as I’m usually in transit for 1 or 2 days. For an average price of 65£ a night I’ll be a returning customer.

Good Hotel to stay for a few days in Heathrow, if you don't want to travel to city centre. It's easy to reach FOR FREE with the public busses from Heathrow Central Terminals 1,2 & 3 with bus No. 285 that runs every 15 minutes 24 hours a day. From T5 you can take the bus 423, also for free. If you miss the last tube during night time in central london, you can take bus N9 and you get directly to the hotel. Get out at station HARLINGTON CORNER. No need to take expensive taxi or Hotelhoppa Buses!

If you decide to have breakfast at the hotel, get a voucher at the reception for 9.95 Pounds, it's really a great value! Good cold and warm buffet with fresh fruits.

Rooms can be noisy and sometimes noise on the hallway is loud due to guests getting up early and being nervous about their flights.

Very nice Staff mainly from eastern Europe.

Unfortunately NO FREE INTERNET! (For an airport hotel very bad, if you need to check your flights and stuff!)

The Ariel is not your typical Heathrow hotel. Easy to park, clean and the rooms, although small, well serviced and relatively quiet.

Don't bother using the "hotel Hoppa" bus service (not just Holiday Inn) but use the free bus service from Harlington Corner to and from Heathrow central. Quicker and saves £4 each way. The hotel will give you a quick guide leaflet.

We booked this at a very good rate over the internet - £65 incl b&b - as a stopover before a flight. I would have been disappointed to pay any more as the room was tiny. I was with my adult daughter and had booked a twin room - we could just about get around the beds. However, everything was clean and the shower was good and hot. The 'large' towels though, were very small, hardly enough for after a shower. As there was two of us, we just had to manage with the one each.

We had a bar meal as we needed something to eat and didn't know where else to go in the dark. The prices were very steep £6-10 for a sandwich or baguette. The breakfast was typical Holiday Inn - good choices and plenty of food.

The hotel is 'very' near the airport and the triple glazing doesn't block out all the sound of the planes, just muffles it. At least they stopped at 11pm ish, unlike people coming and going at all hours in the corridors. That's what you get in an airport hotel I guess, but the noise was annoying.

We had 3 cases between us so went on the shuttle bus to the airport which was very convenient. I didn't know how to find the 'free' bus but we couldn't have walked very far anyway without a trolley.

I had prepaid for the room and didn't want to leave my card details for extras but that was quite acceptable. I paid for the bar meal at the time and there was no problem at all at checkout.

Booked room on Priceline for $65. Bus from Heathrow is listed as "free" one stop removed from hotel. Driver dropped us in front of Holiday Inn Ariel for "free". We arrived late so not interested in food and departed early again so not interested in food. Menu prices however were quite expensive to our taste. Room was extremely comfortable and quiet. Shower/tub too was very nice with lots of hot water. Mini bar in room was a nice touch - honor system. Bus the next morning only required a short walk up the street (west) and accross the street to catch "free" bus back to Central bus station. From there we grabbed the National Express bus to Southampton to board our cruise boat. Would definitely stay at this hotel again!!!!
