Very disappointed with this Hilton. When we checked in we booked a car to take us to our terminal the next morning, but as we found out the reservation was never made. Luckily a black cab was dropping someone off about 15 minutes after the car should have picked us up, so we got that.

Had room sevice, fish & chips. Really small piece of fish and it wasn't very nice. If they can't get fish & chips right, it's not a very good sign. Am Hilton Honours member but won't use this one again. Its location is its only saving grace, and I dare say they play on that.

The Hilton Heathrow Airport is not your typical Hilton in many ways.

First the positive: I received an upgrade to the executive floor and was impressed with the executive lounge which stocks a good amount of complimentary drinks and foods. Unfortunately the room and restaurant did not meet my expectations. The mattress was old and very uncomfortable, making squeaky noises with every turn. Also the feather pillows were far from new and had an odor to them.

The restaurant charges GBP 25 (US$ 37) for half a chicken. I therefore went with a Greek Salad (GBP 12) which was quiet tasty but the kitchen buried some rotten&slimy salad leaves under the salad toppings.

The hotel is just a 'stone throw' from Heathrow's Terminal 4 which makes this hotel so convenient after a long Trans-Atlantic flight. If you are arriving at terminal 4 and can get a deal I would probably still consider it.

Booked via the telephone as a Hilton Honors member. Was not put on the Hilton Honors floor. As a matter of fact, after 8 years, Hilton still haven't changed my surname on my profile (REQUESTED SOOOOOO MANY TIMES) but that is taking us off track. The rooms are so small the bathrooms are extentions into the hallways. The walkway to Terminal 4 is behind the Hilton so it gets good marks for location.

If you need to stay near Heathrow for a day or two this is the most convenient option. You can walk from Terminal 4 directly to the hotel, no need to take a bus or shuttle. It's a large, nice, business hotel. Reasonable dining choices in the hotel and good modern rooms.

I usually book all hotels online but went through hilton telephone reservations for this which might be the problem. My partner wanted a smoking suite but the website wasn't very clear, so he rang and booked a smoking queen suite for £429.00. Expensive and over the top for one night but what the hell. Location was fantastic and the building looked great very modern. Parking was fabulously close but £12 for residents which annoys me but seems to be the usual thing now. Check in was slow. When we arrived at the suite there was a very welcome touch of fresh apple juice, complimentary fruit baskets and chocolates. Also mini bar was reasonably priced. However room was non smoking and when we asked to be moved to a smoking room they said they could move us to a standard room but we would still have to pay the £429 suite rate which I thought was dreadful. So we stayed put. Perhaps this is more down to the reservation team but it really annoyed me. Breakfast was okay, the staff on duty were very polite and courteous, as were the concierge. I suppose my main gripe is the fact we weren't moved to a smoking room and offered the difference on the room rate back.
