If you have the offer of a couch take it. If you are thinking of sleeping rough then seriously consider it. I can't over stress how grim these hotels are. The grubby little grief-hole we stayed in (after moving rooms from an even worse grubby little grief-hole) was dirty, smelly, insecure, had rat traps in it and, like the room we'd asked to leave had no locks or latch on the window. I'd have taken photos but that would have meant staying in the room a fraction longer. I can only imagine that to find anything appealing about this series of neighbouring hotels you'd have to want to stay in a vivid recreation of Fred and Rose West's Hell House. Also, who in God's name rated this place at excellent? Hellen Keller?
Worst hotel ever
i've booked a double room ensuite at this hotel. When we got there they told us that our room was in another hotel (the Rosadene) which was on the other side of the street.
The room they gave us was horrible!it was in the ground floor, the bed wasn't double but it was 1 and a half size, the shower box was in the room in front of the bed and not in the bathroom. The bathroom was a hole with only the wc in it.
The room was very dusty. We stayed there for three nights and the room service came only once to tide the room up and change the dirty towels.
I had to pay 3 pounds per bag to leave them at the reception after i checked out and when i got back to take them the guy at the reception didn't even look at me. I could have taken any bag or luggage of any other guest and nobody would have told me anything.
Just the position is really good as it's closed to victoria station.
sure i won't book a room in any of their hotel anymore!!
really cheap hostel
this hostel has a great location. we stayed in room in the 2nd floor. room and bathroom were clean.
man in reception wasn´t very nice and bathroom was really small.
anyway, the price for night was 19pounds, so it was great stay for great price.
Filthy room
I have never stayed in such a filthy place before. We booked for four nights which were charged to my credit card on my arrival. I have never had to pay for an entire stay anywhere I have stayed before. The room we were given was awful to say the least. There was a mall ledge at the head of the lopsided double bed that had a thick layer of dirt/soot covering it. I cleaned that with a towel from the hotel. The tiny bathroom shower had black mold growing in such abundance I feared using the shower as I am very sensitive to molds. I had to request clean tea cups be left as they were oblivious to the fact that I had no way to properly clean them. The drapes did NOT fit the window where they were hung. One panel was hung backward and one forward. If the panels were pulled together there was about a foot of window on each side that was not covered. It made changing clothes without exposing myself to London quite a challenge. All in all not a pleasant experience.
Horrid Belgravia Rooms!!!
My daughter and two of our friends had booked rooms because we had stayed at the Ebury House before and had great experiences with James and Cartref House. Our room was awful. On the third floor, with no lighing on second and third floors. Which made it very difficult managing the stairs after dark. Our room had twin beds with about 16" between them. One power strip that everything was plugged into. The bathroom was small, unable to turn around in it. No place to hang clothes. Thank goodness we only spent two nights there. When we got back in to the room the second night our coffee cups where still sitting there with coffee, as we had left them. Our beds were made. Our friends only spent one night in their large room. they had booked a double. They got a double bed, bunk beds and a single bed. There bathroom was large though. But they had no place to hang their clothes. They spent the next night in Paris and came back to Belgravia Rooms. they were given a small room with twin beds, no room to walk around, no place to hang clothes. Said they would of changed hotels, but Belgravia Rooms had charged the next four nights they were staying.
Ebury has always had a good reputation, great places to stay. Belgravia Rooms are turning it into a garbage dump!!!
