Very friendly staff, good sized rooms. Bathroom could have been cleaner, breakfast service was good, however not usual holiday inn standard that we get on the continent, typical lazy UK approach too serving food! But can't complain as paid just 45 GBP per night and that incouded breakfast for my wife, my daughter and I. I would visit again. Location perfect foe the Dome, Greenwich, Canary Wharf, Bluewater.

Stayed here 1 night on business. Very convenient to M25 as it's right on the A2 a few miles from the Dartford tunel.

I was given a disabled adapted room on the ground floor - right by the bar area. After having read the previous reviews about noise I was a bit concerned, but on the night I stayed, a Thursday, all was quiet. Basically the room had bars in the toilet and bath, wide bathroom door, pull cord by the bed and next to the bath and fire exit door straight to the outside. Actually quite nice I imagine whe it's hot as you could open the door up as it opens on to a grassed area with a tree.

Aircon worked well, TV choice included sky one and film 4 with pay per view movies on demand along with games for the kid in you.

Decor was modern and tea/coffeee facilities average but no biscuits provided. Room service is available, but too expensive - over £6 for a sandwich!

Bed was comfortable witha choice of pillow options avaiilable. Duvet rather than sheets and eiderdown.

Didn't try the restaurant for the same reasons, got some food from the local Morrisons a mile or so away.

Breakfast was excellent. Cooked to order pancakes with maple syrup, omlettes, poached eggs and smoked haddock and kippers on the menu along with a great choice of fruits, yogurts, pastries, cereals, bread and cooked breakfast options. First place I have stayed in ages that offered at least 4 different cheeses for breakfast.

Would definitily stay here again, but as the room was close to the bar I'd make sure next time there were no planned parties as sleep would have been difficult.

We stay here quite regularly. If you need to stay in this area there is only one other hotel within about 5 miles that I can think of. The other one is generally better but significantly more expensive so we stay here usually. If you book at the right time you can get a rate of about £60 B&B and at that price I would say its fair/good value. Nothing remarkable, everything quite OK such as room, bathroom, bar, breakfast. I wouldn't dine here myself but there are nice restaurants locally that are better value. Adequate free parking, right on A2 at the outskirts of London. Bexley station is about 10-15 mins walk and from there you can easily get to central London in about 30 minutes.

Rooms = fairly pleasant (with the exception of some unusual stains on the sofa)

Bar = dark and dingy, not enough seating, didn't feel the urge to use my free drink voucher

Restaurant = uninviting, but serviceable, by the looks of it (I didn't partake)

staff = ok

car parking = lots, but charged for.

Cocooned in my room, this was an OK sort of hotel, but once out of my room, the public areas/facilities left a lot to be desired and I never found the place particularly welcoming.. (and I stayed away from the singles night that seemed to be being held in one of the function rooms and the public bar)

A total bill of £235 odd for 2 nights with internet access is, frankly, a darn right rip off..

Luckily, for me, they forgot to charge me the extra for the car parking (a sign at reception pointing out that they added this to bills) ..!!!

This, by the way, is the only car parking around, so you're stuck with paying of they charge.

Expensive rooms, expensive broadband and car parking charges are becoming the norm in many places.. and they will get away with it as we will all pay up.. We should set up two campaigns..

1 - campaign for value for money room rates in the UK

2 - campaign for free broadband in rooms
