The absolute nightmare expected me the last day: i left my keys and my suitcase at reception and was confirmed that i can come anytime to collect it. When i come back though there was nobody. I was ringing the bell, calling by phone - nothing. I couldnt believe it. I would understand it if it has been for a few minutes - no, at least 30 minutes which brought me into a terrible hurry and rush and i was afraid to miss my plane. I went to the place beside to ask for help or if they had any other phone - no. After more than half an hour the owner came back. I commented the situation - he said it wasnt his fault if the girl isnt at reception. I asked him to call me a taxi (what he did) and ask him to cover my extra costs (15 GBP) as i wouldnt have gone by taxi. So HE started shouting at me! Absolutely unbelivable! I finally got my plane - if i hadnt, these persons wouldnt have cared (as "it isnt their responsibility").

A bloody nightmare the place!

First of all, we had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to our room.

The telephone didn't work

The TV remote didn't work

The oscillating part of the fan didn't work.

They sold us a phone card that didn't work Cost 10 Pounds

The bathroom was so small it would have been easier for me to do my business in the sink, and that is no joke. Although I did learn some yoga moves before I sat on the toilet.

Breakfast was decent but was about 150 degrees C in the dining area with about 150% Humidity.

Some poor directions/info about tours

When we left, he ordered a taxi for us to get to Euston Station (about 5 minutes away)

The taxi had no signage or meter and I suspect it was a friend of his.

The Cost??? 20 Pounds for that little trip! What can I do , I payed and was a little upset.

I emailed the Hotel to voice my concerns, and how they could improve, and I got no reply, therefore this review.

They are friendly, good location, but the negatives out weigh the positives.

I am very sorry to have to write this....but it was just horrible. We were in two different rooms and the queen mattress had a twin box spring and the edges of the mattress were held up with stacks of phone books. It was in a good location, but so were hundreds of other places...just nothing was fixed---dirty, horrible...

DO NOT STAY HERE---THEN MAYBE THEY WILL FIX IT....

Even though the rooms are small at this hotel the location makes up for it. It is in a great spot for easy access to all Londons attractions. An easy walk to Paddington Station where the underground takes you anywhere, and a short walk to Hyde Park and on to Buckingham Palace etc. The owners are very friendly, the breakfast was good, and overall we enjoyed our stay very much. We stayed a week ,then went back again later for another 2 nights.

We were guest from May 29th to June 1st in room no. 31, 3rd floor.

Very dangerous stairs and no elevator. The so-called bathroom was 1.3 m xs 1.3 m and absolutely unconfortable. On this surface the built in a toilet, shower and a lavabo.

One bed was supported by 3 yellow pages books.
