GOOD SERVICE FRIENDLY STAFF
Stayed here for match at Wembley. Great location hill not as steep as expected. Rooms dated but very clean they just need a lick of paint. Staff friendly and helpfull. It is a pub rather than a hotel. Quieter than expected after match which was good as we had two young children with us.
Would use again if coming to wembley. It appears that others have left some unfair comments about this hotel. To sum up it is not a posh hotel it is an old pub with rooms. I wouldn't want a long stay here but is great for overnight stays for wembley events and the hill is not as steep as we expected.
great location with freindly staff
went to wembley arena to see michael mcintyre on sat 3rd oct.stayed here for £49 which included car parking.room was clean and average but well worth the money as only 300 metres from arena.this is more a pub than hotel with many people going to the concert coming in for pre concert food and drinks.even though pub was busy the stafff coped very well and food services was fast.a bottle of house wine cost £7.95 and in wembley arena they sold exactly the same bottle for £17.95.have booked again as we have tickets to x factors live shows in november which is filmed in fountain studios only 200 metres from the arena.
Apalling service
Thank goodness I never actually got to stay in the hotel. I was unable to stay at the hotel and called to cancel a week before arrival. I am still waiting for a refund despite contacting Dominic the manager 5 times now. Really poor service beware!!!
Clean and comfortable but tiered and tatty.
We booked the family room (room 2) – king sized and two single beds. The room looked like it could do with a lick of paint and was a bit tatty round the edges. There was a fridge, TV with freeview and Tea/Coffee making facilities and free ample parking which so close to Wembley Stadium on a game day is a blessing.
The room was very clean with fresh towels and bedding but @ £120 for the room only, would have expected a little better to be honest.
We were attending a game at Wembley Stadium and the location of the hotel was ideal – only 400 yards or so from the stadium itself. On match days they open the beer garden with an outside bottle bar and BBQ and the atmosphere was cracking.
On the down side:-
The floorboards in the room creaked so loudly that at late night trip to the loo woke the whole family.
One of the single beds squeaked every time my daughter moved in bed.
The lighting fuse must have blown through the night and with the bathroom not having a window we had to shower in virtual darkness. I tried to phone reception to let them know but no-one answered. The lights came back on at just after 9:00am (just as we’d all finished with the bathroom).
The shower head would not stay in any position that you could shower under so you had to shower with one hand holding it.
Neither of the bedside lights worked.
Outstanding Manager Customer service
I would like to take this opportunity, to thank Mr Dominic Blackwood, Manager of the Green Man Hotel. On our return from our stay and after the difficulties our family faced on our visit, Mr Dominic Blackwood's care and attention can only be discribed as second to none. We have been provided with a 1 night stay cash refund and a complimentary 2 night stay, with a evening meal, to be taken anytime during the next calander year @ the Hotel.
Dominic you are a credit to the Hotel industry and we wish you all the success in the future, 100% first class.
