My husband and I stayed here during the first week of Wimbledon. The hotel and restaurant have recently been taken over by new management and although the rooms are still to be refurbished we loved it. The restauarant is very special and the location was lovely, right next to Richmond Park and in a quiet and safe area of South West London. Would highly reccommend

This is a super place to stay in the London suburbs in a quiet location with easy acess to public transport for London. Staff are very friendly and welcoming and the hotel has pleasantly decorated rooms that have pc's with free internet access. Dinner was fresh and tasty at expected London prices and the bonus was enjoying a nightcap in the bar afterwards before retiring for a goods night sleep in the very comfy beds. Breakfast was a slight disappointment with minimal choice.

We had a two night stay here while visiting family in East Sheen. The rooms are tastefully decorated and there are some nice touches - there's a fridge downstairs in the accommodation area where you can help yourself to a complimentary bottle of still or sparkling water, also a tray to brew your own tea or coffee. This meant fresh milk rather than horrid little plastic tubs! Breakfast is served in the conservatory - plentiful newspapers. Tea, coffee & fresh juice are served, otherwise it's help yourself. Nothing exciting, but fine. We had an evening meal for the family one night. We thought it was a touch expensive (London prices!) and that the choice for our veggie daughter was limited (Only one main course, which she could have made any day) The kitchen were asked if there was anything else they could do, but no they couldn't. That's a bit disappointing & we pointed it out to the staff, who accepted the feedback well and said they'd take it on board. This is, after all, a gastropub with rooms rather than an hotel. We liked the ambience and overall, we'd stay again
