I stayed for a day for a course. I booked through the organisers. It was not pricey and the staff were very friendly. Checking in was easy and pleasent. The room was spacey and had all the necessary thing you would need. The breakfast was good and staff did go out of their way to help us. If you are travelling from outside London, you have to catch a train to East Croydon from Victoria. Hotel is about 10 min taxi drive from the East Croyden station. The hotel ambience was very good.

During my stay heating was not available in most of the rooms and my colleagues had to ask for a portable heater. (I usually have a high threshold for feeling cold- Hence I was not bothered!). Although the water in the shower was hot enough in the evenings, in the morning it was just warm. This was the case in my colleagues' room as well.

There are no free WiFi facilities available in the hotel.

The conference room was spacey and was good. However the audio facilites in the room left lot to be desired. It caused problems many times during the two days.

I have been staying in Croydon with work for a while now and having previously stayed in the horrible Selsdon Park Hotel I was glad when my company offered to let me stay in the Hilton, it had to be better than Selsdon.

The staff here are very nice and friendly and do try to be helpful, something that none of the staff at Selsdon ever managed.

The rooms are average, my first week there I was put in a room that the air conditioning didnt work and the windows are sealed for safety reasons. They had put a fan in the room, but that only served to be a nuisance during the night. The next week I made sure I was put into a room where the air con worked. The beds are comfortable but it is little things that serve to annoy, there are no biscuits offered, there is a bottle of water with a sign around it saying it is £3.95 if you open it! I have just stayed in a B&B last week that offered biscuits, water and even crisps! These so called chains of hotels would do well to take some tips from the great B&B's that are emerging in the UK.

The menu in the dinning room never seems to change and when you are staying somewhere on a regular basis this can be very frustrating. In addition they menu and what you get served sometimes seem a little different, supreme of chicken turned out to be a chicken breast on stir fry veg, and chocolate foundant was a microwaved chocolate sponge! Sadly when you are a single female traveller you have to put up with what hotels have to offer, but it would be nice to see the menu changing every day.

Breakfast is a buffet and offers a wide selection. There is a nice lounge area with a Costa coffee.

Location wise, its great for me as I work in Purley, but I cant image why anyone would want to stay in this area unless they were there for business, Croydon is not a pretty place.

Just below average

It was old and generally run down. Their bathroom was terrible but the bed was comfortable. The cups in the for coffee making were dirty and for some reason electric sockets are a luxury in the room...

stayed here a few times since I do business in Croydon. It is well out of town, pretty shabby, with very tired bedrooms. Up until my last stay I put up with it for my Hilton points and BA miles but never again.

On my last stay I was awakened by the managment forcing entry to the room at 1am despite it being locked from the inside. Apparently there had been a mixup and the room was not logged as occupied. These things happe but my complaint the following morning was greeted with blank indifference and despite numerous emails to Hilton I never got a response.

warm welcome. The room was very shabby compared to Hilton standard. Do check out hot water before you unpack as we had no hot water supply and had to be moved to another room. The rooms are very hot and stuffy. You cannot open any windows and the aircon is very poor and noisy. The restaurant is excellent and good choice for breakfast. The travel to central London is very easy and Hotel parking very good. The staff were always very helpful and friendly. The hotel rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. Not up to the normal Hilton quality and standard.
