Located in the heart of Theatreland in the West End of London, this five star iconic hotel - which has always been synonymous with style and elegance – is celebrating its Centenary in 2008. An investment of £35 million included all bedrooms, the Palm Court restored to its former glory and brand new lobby, meeting rooms, bar, patisserie and restaurant. The design concept enhances the listed features of its Edwardian creators yet achieves a look that is both distinctly elegant yet avant-garde. The exhilarating redesign successfully blends contemporary luxury within the hotel’s classical setting. The Waldorf Hilton’s 300 bedrooms, including six suites, have been refurbished in line with two exclusive bedroom themes: ‘Contemporary’ and ‘Design’. Good hotel in a good location

Avoid the noisy rooms!
This was our second visit, we love this hotel for it's location and friendly, attentive staff. Our first room was on the street side and very noisy, impossible to sleep, the lovely girl in the exec lounge had it sorted very quickly and we got a room facing the 'courtyard'. Absolutely horrendous view but quiet! This time we noticed the canapes in the exec lounge were not as good as last time, and they have really reduced the time they serve alcohol, cutbacks i guess. While the exec lounge staff are nice, if you don't leave a tip they won't bother with you again, one young man in particular.

In regards to the Waldorf Astoria in New York I would like to inform you that they are part of the luxury brand ‘Waldorf Astoria Collection’ which is part of the Hilton Family. Whilst they were converted to this luxury collection, the Waldorf London stayed part of the Hilton collection. The two hotels have certainly some minor details in common, but overall they are two completely different properties.
