It can be somewhat daunting to select a hotel in London for a family that has the right mix of price point, amenities and location. The London House satisfied all of these criteria. We got a great price. The hotel had been recently renovated and although our room was "cozy" for a family of four it was comfortable. Two Underground stops were within walking distance as well as numerous eating establishments and various shopping to include grocery, pharmacy, clothes, tourist, etc. The fact that it was also close to Kensington Palace & Gardens was also nice. I would use it again as a staging point for London tourism.

Nice and pleasent hotel for the money we have paid for.

If you have high expectations go somewhere else.

Very nice staff.

A chair in the bedroom it would be nice. Rooms are very small. The rooms door's always making big noise which time they close. Electrical fun inside the bathroom very noisy. You can hear everything around you. You just get one towel, we could have a hand towel too.If you want to charge the batterie of yr mobile or yr camera you must take with you one adapter as the electrical plugs in the hotel have three pins. Basic breakfast, no skim milk, the orange juice very bad, the toaster in very bad shape. Good location near 2 tube stations and many restaurants. Overall we love our stay with London House as the money we have paid for the room and breakfast it was ok for the expectations we had. in case they increase the prices try to find a better place to stay.

My fiance and I visited London in October during Hallowe'en. The location was great - right near the Bayswater Tube station. It's located 2 blocks away from the main street so the room was really quiet. The hotel was going through renovations and we got one of the new renovated rooms. The room is small, but we expected as much from a European hotel. The bathroom was also newly renovated which was great. Only con - they hadn't installed towel racks so we had nowhere to hang our towels! The breakfast was an extra 3 Euro per person - skip this. You can get a better breakfast from Marks and Spencer in the Whiteley's Shopping Centre 2 blocks away.

Nottinghill and Hyde Park are both short walks away. There's a couple restaurants on the main road. And 2 Tube stations are close by.

This hotel was definitely worth staying at and we'd stay here again. Only thing was that service at the reception could be better.

Make sure you have high tea at the Lanesborough Hotel - rated #1 in the last 2 years and we can see why. It was a great experience. Nottinghill has great vintage stores for those who love vintage shopping. Harrod's is a tourist experience and Selfridges is great for shopping as well. Go to the TKTS for cheaper show tickets - Wicked is a must see!

For those in London for more than 5 days - get the 1 week oyster card - this will save you money.

Fantastic place, affordable and fully refurbished so everything is so new and clean. I was so surprised as I had been travelling for a month through europe staying in 3/4 star hotels and this one was amazing. The beds were the most comfortable we had on our whole trip. My sister and I shared a basement room with two single beds, it was quiet and really really cheap. If you are wanting to book this place I would get in fast because it's quite busy. The staff are awesome, we turned up early for check-in because of our flight times in from Madrid and had just wanted to leave our bags and the staff had our room ready for us which was fantastic and they also helped us with a shuttle to Heathrow on departure. The location is awesome, just around the corner from Bayswater Tubestation, so easy! Love this place, will definitely go back there when back in the UK!!

Spent 4 nights here and it was a pretty decent no frills hotel. As expected, the room was small, the bathroom was ok so we don't really have much to complain although the front desk staff could be a little bit friendlier. Nevertheless, its location near Bayswater (Circle/District Line) & Queensway (Central Line) tube stations was a plus point. And for Muslim travelers, Halal restaurants were easily available, there's even a Halal branch of Subway sandwich cafe here.
