Great if you want to be in a building site

Currently undergoing expansion. Noisy as in the middle of a busy road intersection and no AC. Limited to a Harvester for food unless you wish to go into town for more variey. Personally I would avoid...

As a frequent Holiday express customer I was surprised to find that there is no porter service. Considering it is serving customers from the Gatwick airport you'd assume there would be a porter available to help manage the luggage. Luckily for me the gentlenam on reception , Mr Ashras ( hopefully the right spelling!) , was kind to offer a helping hand.

Overall, the hotel has all the basic facilities you would expect for the price of the room. Excellent hygiene. Great Staff. Close to the airport.

Being a bit awkward, I chanced checking in at 10.30 am, had to get down to Brighton to a football match and wanted to lose the bag. Martyna on reception couldn't have been more helpful.

No problems with noise, staff were excellent without being intrusive, comfy bed, Sky Sports, Sky News, plent of coffee and tea in room. Shower invigorating and then down to breakfast. Free paper, London Independent but free, coffee, orange juice and toast fine, bagels poor.

£47 Sterling! First hotel I phoned wanted a £15 surcharge on a £63 room with no brekkie to check in before 2pm. Train from Gatwick to Three Bridges was £2.50 ish and ten minutes walk.

I'll be back

This is not your USA Holiday Inn. Obviously ment for a single night stay to or from airport. Unfortunately we had pre-booked for 4 nights to visit family in the area. The room had no closet, just 6 coat hangers. No chest of drawers, not even bedside drawers, so count on living out of your suitcase. Soap dispenser in the bathroom was empty, so could not take a decent shower. Fire alarm went off at 4am. Continental breakfast was meager and the pastry items were stale. No cable TV, only 5 channels to choose from. No business center, so unless you take your laptop, you can not check email. Front desk clerk suggested we go to a nearby competing hotel and use their free computer!! Fortunately there is a pub across the parking lot (Harvester) and the beer is cheap, so you can drown your sorrows. Otherwise definately not worth $75 per night. Pay a bit extra and get a decent hotel.

It was very good value

We booked this hotel for one night after a long flight and were very comfortable. OK so it is basic - but it is clean and the bathrooms spotless - we paid a special offer price and cannot grumble...

We booked this hotel for one night after a long flight and were very comfortable. OK so it is basic - but it is clean and the bathrooms spotless - we paid a special offer price and cannot grumble. The front desk girls were particularly helpful because my mobile phone had "died" on me and they tried everything they could to sort the problem. We had a good nights sleep - but this is an airport hotel so you will hear people coming an dgoing from time to time
